Vocal Trainer

Today's 15 minutes

Work top to bottom. Each bar shows how fresh a skill is: it fills with daily practice and fades a little each day you skip. Drills tick themselves off when you finish them.

Voice care

Sip water instead of clearing your throat. Warm up before every session. Never sing through pain. If hoarseness lasts more than 2 to 3 weeks, see an ENT or voice specialist.

The line is your voice. Green when within 25 cents of a note, amber within 50. Each grey line is a semitone; the darker lines are C notes.

Pitch drills

Press Start. You'll hear a note, then sing it back.

Song

Pick a part and press Start. You get one bar of clicks, then sing along with the bars as they reach the line.

Each bar is a note to sing; sing it as it crosses the line. Bars turn green when you hit them, purple for a harmony note, blue for the right note in the wrong octave, red when off, grey when not heard.

Range test

Slide down or up gently and hold the note at the edge of what feels comfortable for about a second. No straining. The app keeps the furthest note you held steadily.

Your data

The folder gets four files: sessions.csv (one row per drill), attempts.csv (every note you sang), ranges.csv and daily.csv (minutes and skills ticked). If the app's own copy is ever wiped, choose the same folder to restore it.
